CNS Lymphoma Lunch Symposium

Are you an Oncologist, Haematologist or Allied Health Professional involved in the treatment of CNS lymphoma? Come join us at the CNS Lymphoma Lunch Symposium at 1200 – 1300 on Monday 12 September. Dr. Lakshmi Nayak from Dana Farbar Cancer Centre will give updates on recent advances in the management CNS Lymphoma – an illness that has captured the attention of both haematologists and neuro-oncologists. Unlike most other CNS malignancies, treatment can lead to prolonged survival and even cure. The session will be chaired by Dr. Lawrence Cher and there will be an opportunity to discuss clinical scenarios.
Please note this session is not suitable for non health care professionals.
Difficult Dialogues Lunch Symposium

This lunchtime symposium is something with a bit of difference!
Professor Fran Boyle (from Pam McLean Communication Centre), co-chairing with Dr Elizabeth Hovey, will be leading us with some role-plays with a professional actor to demonstrate ways of tackling potentially confronting conversations with a glioma patient. These dialogues are difficult to begin with! The art of negotiation isn’t always straightforward – sometimes we don’t reach “Yes”.
GBM AGILE Meeting

An introduction to GBM AGILE for ASNO-COGNO Scientific Meeting attendees. The meeting will be chaired by Dr Mustafa Khasraw, Australian liaison for GBM AGILE and feature a presentation by Dr Don Berry, who will explain the adaptive trial design. Dr Berry will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Prof Anna Barker, Dr Tim Cloughesy, Dr Brian Alexander, Prof Don Berry and Australian members of GBM AGILE committees. There will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions of the panel.
